Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This is a blend of three strong Rhone varietals, Grenache, Syrah (Shiraz) and Petite Sirah (also known as Durif). It is meant to be a fun ‘all occasion’ wine, fresh with plenty of flavor and soft ripe tannin. Grenache is the lead variety and the trademark strawberry and black cherry characteristics abound. Syrah steps in with spice adding real backbone to the wine through both the mid and end palate. A perfumed lift on the bouquet and more robust color are a result of the addition of Petite Sirah.
All round, this wine has broad appeal. Soft, fruity, fleshy and packed with flavor it offers both complexity and depth while being very easy drinking. The Grenache component was further enhanced during production using extended maceration for 6 weeks post fermentation. The result is more texture and flavor. Each of the varieties were fermented with a specially selected yeast strain from the Priorat region in Spain, a yeast that has specific qualities to enhance fruit and mouth-feel.
Sourced entirely from our own estate vineyards in Paso Robles on the Central Coast of California, this is a wine to be enjoyed at any time for any occasion
