The 2018 Rosé is a game changer for Broken Earth. It is both modern and “old world” in style, the hue and freshness representative of a Rosé de Provence produced in the, comparatively speaking, “new world” wine region of Paso Robles.

The first step in appreciating this rosé is to hold your glass up to the light to examine the ombré color combination that goes from faded coral, to pale peach, that leads to a shimmering gold rim. These are the colors representative of a new Rosé era, gone are the days of neon pinks and residual sugar and here to stay transparent, peachy pinks and refreshing acidity.

The nose highlights the distinct strawberry characteristic that comes from Grenache and is supported by a varying array of other fruits. A sip of this wine encompasses the “new era” of Rosés by cleansing the palate with its structured acidity and backbone of fruity flavors.

We recommend drinking this wine while sitting in the grass and munching on some artisan cheese and crackers. Or, for the most traditional and simplistic of California pairings, pick up (or make) carne aside street tacos – This is a combination that will not disappoint.
