2017 Limited Release Rose
Like the coveted Rosés produced in Provence, France, this east side Paso Robles vintage showcases all the hallmarks of an internationally- styled and yet classic Rosé.
On the nose, it’s all strawberries and crème, intertwined with florals and berries. More specifically, jasmine and lavender come up front and center with an undercurrent of raspberries and blackberries, finishing with a childhood memory of sweet watermelon jolly rancher candy.
While the nose alludes to sweet candy and flowers, the flavors go in a different direction. Pomegranate dominates the palate, joined with other tart berries like olallieberries and raspberries. There is no sugary sweetness on this Rosé. Instead it brings an off-dry mouthfeel and a lingering finish.
This Rosé is a bit wild and so should be paired with a sunny excursion, like sipping while soaking up the sun beachside. For a more decadent dish, pour a glass with a bowl of lavender ice cream drizzled with honey. If savory is more your style, pair our Rosé with some freshly caught rock fish tacos, topped with avocado, cilantro and a lemon spritz.
